Travaille et vit à Paris et à Nice

Diplômé de l´Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie à Arles.
Enseignant en photographie à l'Ecole Supérieure d'Art de Clermont Communauté.

Depuis le début des années 90, Jürgen Nefzger porte un regard sur les mutations du paysage. L'urbanisme, les zones périurbaines et rurales ainsi que les questions d'ordre environnemental constituent des éléments de recherche pour accéder à une vision contemporaine du paysage en tant que reflet d'une époque et d'un mode de vie, voire d'une attitude de consommation.

Jürgen Nefzger was born in Fürth, Germany 1968.
He now lives and works in Paris and Nice , France.

He studied at the French National School of Photography in Arles.
Professor in photography at the fine art school of Clermont- Ferrand.

From the beginning, Nefzger has had a documentary approach to his work, focussing on urban and rural landscapes. In his photographs, nature is never experienced without a strong connection to society. Everyday décor lies at the heart of the subject and the marks left by man on the landscape are the most recurrent theme.
